Tribute for Richard O. Lawrence

 (1946-2005)

The music used in the introductory video on my site was composed by Richard Lawrence.  A concert violinist, composer, and educator, Lawrence was one of the pioneers of personal growth through music. Along with his career in concert music, he participated in psychoacoustic research regarding the use of music in therapeutic, educational, and brain development applications. Lawrence was the music Director of Advanced Brain Technology, as well as, Director and first violinist of the acclaimed Arcangelos Chamber Ensemble. Among many other innovative projects in mind/body music, Lawrence created music in 1997-98 highlighted in the Eight Meditations for Optimum Health and Sound Body, a project of Andrew Weil, M.D., best-selling author and director of the Department of Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson.

Sadly, Richard Lawrence succumbed to an aggressive form of cancer following over a year of treatment.

I am honored to have his fine music serve as an introduction to my website.

The eight compact discs of Richard’s musical selections for various purposes are:

Concentration Motivation
De-Stress Productivity
Inspiration Relax
